The Foundation Institute for Regional Development has held a presentation on the Sound of Vision project at the 9th Krakow Integration Days, a national scientific and didactic event that was held on 19th April 2016. Academics and representatives of communities of people with disabilities have discussed how technological revolution can be used to solve societal problems. A main view was that disability should be treated as a social and economic issue, and not just as a subject of medicine or psychology. Especially in the view of the increasing number of people with various disabilities, their inclusion in active life should be a priority, with technology enabling the huge step required for fulfilling that aim. Our project, realized in international partnership within the Horizon 2020 Programme was given as a very promising example of such an approach.
