The Sound of Vision partners have assembled in Budapest, Hungary to discuss both the latest achievements in the project, as well as to establish the following required steps. Discussions covered the entire scientific and technological requirements of the project, including 3D acquisition algorithms and equipment, data processing, building sound and haptic models as well as sonification and haptification. Given the sensory-substitututive nature of the device, discussions also established how the device should handle any hardware or software failures, as well as special reporting features that will allow the team to gather end user feedback.
