On September 26 and 27, the Slovakian capital city of Bratislava hosted the ICT Proposers’ Day 2016 event. Focused on the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2016-17 in the field of Information & Communication Technologies, it offered a very good opportunity for organizations, companies and researchers to build long-term partnerships across Europe.
The Sound of Vision project was represented by Anca Morar and Alin Moldoveanu, two researchers from the organization in charge of the project’s technical coordination – Polytechnic University of Bucharest. They held a presentation during which the project’s ambitions were introduced and which presented attendants with key perspective on most important aspects of the project – multi-modal encoding and perception for sensory substitution, as well as the training aspects using virtual environments, that are currently being developed as part of the project.
